Bruce Eckel has posted a really fascinating preview of his EuroPython keynote, about language design, metaprogramming, and what he calls language archaeology - examining the historical design decisions that went into making different languages the way they are today, comparing Java, C++, Ruby and Python.

Bruce will also be giving a talk about metaprogramming with decorators.
