The PyCon UK Society: Terms and Conditions of Business

General

These terms of business apply to the purchase of attendance fees facilities and services related to the EuroPython 2010 Conference from The PyCon UK Society only. They do not apply to goods and services purchased direct from the conference venue Birmingham Conservatoire or any other body.

Payment

Payment of conference fees must be made in full before attending the conference otherwise admission may be refused.

We accept payment by sterling cheque on a UK bank, postal order, PayPal, credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and debit card (Visa Delta, Connect, Maestro, Solo). Delegates paying the Corporate rate may order using a company Purchase Order.
We do not advise sending cash through the post. If you don't have a suitable bank account you can buy a Postal Order at any UK Post Office.

You can use this web site to book your place at EuroPython 2010 on-line using a credit or debit card, or PayPal, or you can order by post, fax or telephone. Even if you'd prefer not to give your credit card details on-line please still use the "Add to Cart" buttons and trolley system to assemble your order, then choose the appropriate option for the method of payment and follow the instructions.

The on-line order facility is fully encrypted for your security. Your card details are passed straight to the banks for security checks and authorisation - we never see them.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Conference booking up to four weeks before the Conference when we will refund your payment less a 15% administration charge and less any bank charges. If you cancel within four weeks of the Conference we will attempt to resell your booking but if we do not succeed we reserve the right not to make any refund.

Changes

The EuroPython and PyCon UK Societies reserve the right to make changes to the Conference and to the membership fees from time to time by posting revisions on the website. We reserve the right to change or withdraw any promotion or special offer associated with the Conference at any time without notice. We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Should we make any changes, we will post details on the website, with any such change having immediate effect from the moment of posting.

Policies and procedures are subject to change without notice. While every effort is made to ensure that all the information on this site is updated and correct, The EuroPython and Pycon UK Societies will not be held responsible for any loss, direct or indirect, resulting from use of this information.

Warranty

To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, we disclaim any and all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Conference.

Liability

The EuroPython and PyCon UK Societies do not accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of property or injury to any person during the entire event.

Errors and Omissions

The information on the EuroPython website is given in good faith and is subject to change without notice. Whilst care has been taken to ensure that all information is correct, The EuroPython and Pycon UK Societies do not accept responsibility for errors, omissions or inaccuracies.

While we will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information we place on the Website, we make no warranties whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.

Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
